Research Highlights

We deeply mourn the loss of Ángel Ramirez Ortiz, head of the bioinformatic unit, who passed away on may 5th 2008, aged 41.

Our research activity centers in the analysis, modeling and prediction of basic biological problems at molecular level. Our main expertise is in Structural Bioinformatics. Examples of areas of interest to us are the prediction of protein structure, the relationship between sequence and structure, or the physical basis of biomolecular recognition. Some spotlights follow.
